Undress Yourself

All that you have worn has become too heavy to wear
Your heart a planet of magnified gravity,
Your emptiness, the galaxy, pours itself into your tea
And with every sip taken the darkness feeds
The night deepens your eyes
The ecstasy of nothing dares you to stare
There is no troubled mind but the trouble does mind that you neglect
To care
Existence is a crisis
When the thread that unwinds is connected to you
And you watch yourself slowly disappear
and the universe continues to peel like an infinite orange

Unburden your arms and your chest
Relieve your legs and your feet
The night has flooded your lungs
Slowed your breath to winged beats
Drained your face of your troubles
Wiped your memories clean

Undress your flesh down to the bone
Remove your face
Graciously excuse yourself from your self,
for there is no one here

The night streams into vacant places
Channels empty spaces
Invokes currents of dream seeds
Sprung from the ovaries of the void
Settling inside the holy
Outside the holy is the holy
There is no place but holy

She raises her elegant arms beckoning you
Collapse into her opaque depths
Subdue all that you thought was you
Gently exhale holy space and allow your breath to create
Release into the sky that narrates the night
Watch the thread redefine

The stars blaze overhead as you rest quietly
Sending glitter dancing across your faceless body
Peacefully, you sink deeper
Naked, empty, and free.
